Artist Statement
My artwork is usually based on what is needed to wear for longhouse ceremonies. Although I was never related to anyone that worked on the WPA project, I admire their work and designs. I feel proud that I can make and produce traditional pieces of clothing that my family can wear at ceremonies. Also, that I can pass on my knowledge to my family. I like the at beadwork designs on clothing as opposed to raised beadwork. I use the designs that have meaning behind what I make.
